The Compass Story

Compass Pools began in 1980 when husband and wife team, Ian and Kerri Mewett started building the original range of Compass Pools. Their desire was to build the best, safest family pools possible - pools they would be happy for their own family to enjoy, pools they would be happy to sell. They felt that this, together with an unshakeable belief in the importance of having a continuous Research and Development program, of offering excellent value for money, maintaining first class quality control and giving great Customer service would guarantee the future of the company. These are the Compass Pools goals.

In 1999, Gary and Maggie Klein joined Compass Manufacturing. Now with two modern hi-tech factories and with Ian and Gary, two of the most respected composite pool manufacturers at the helm, your investment will result, in a pool built to the highest standards in the world.

Today

The company philosophy has lead Compass Pools to become world leaders in the industry with the invention in 1993 of a new patented technology - the Ceramic Composite pool, with Bi-luminite™ interior - technology that has been licensed to pool builders in Western Australia, Northern Territory and the USA. More recently in 1997, they pioneered the world’s first successful, affordable in-floor cleaning and circulation system for Composite pools - the Compass Vantage System.
